How to Attract Women

It is important to create a startling first impression in order to get noticed by females! You can do this without trying to be someone else. Just be yourself. These days men pretend to be rich and famous in order to grab attention, but it is unnecessary.

What is important is to try to create opportunities! This can be easily done by focusing on a couple of things that will get you noticed. These include:

FACE

One does not need to be handsome or have a film star type of face. Any face well cared for will do the trick. Maintain your facial hair smartly. Don’t keep unkempt hair or beard. Make sure you have a nice haircut and have a clean shaven chin or well kept beard. Some men assume lotions and/or vaselines are for women, but it is important to use it sparingly to maintain a glow to your skin. Older men are advised to use anti-aging cream to do away with the ugly wrinkles.

ODOUR

Nail your appearance with a cool fragrance. Women tend to follow a nice smell wafting in their noses. Unfortunately, not many men consider applying deodorants and wearing a GOOD perfume as part of their appearance. Cheap perfumes put off women!

Studies have proved that unlike men, women rate a male’s scent as the number one factor when finding a potential partner. So take the time to discover good colognes for men that the ladies love.

DEMEANOR

Like already mentioned, first impressions are very important. How do you handle yourself for the first time? Please show how well you were groomed by setting the right tone from the word go. Offer a firm handshake, make eye contact, smile and give your full attention. Those few seconds of acknowledging her presence can mean the difference between acceptance and rejection. If you don’t greet a woman properly for the first time, you’ve already dug yourself a hole. And don’t forget to have clean hands at all times. Rough dirty hands are a turn off!

THE SMILE

The best captivating asset is a smile. Combine that smile with proper eye contact and a confident posture – and you’re already on a roll when it comes to impressing her. However, make sure your teeth are clean. If they are noticeably dirty or discoloured, my brother brother, you are done in.  Many things stain your teeth including, but not limited to smoking and coffee drinking. Ensure you brush your teeth twice a day and every so often a visit to the dentist. If older, try using whitener to cover the natural yellow colour that comes with age as the enamel wears off.

Language

Avoid the street language if you are to hook up with a decent lady. As earlier mentioned, good grooming involves good knowledge and discussing enriching subjects. Set yourself apart from guys who always talk as if they’re at a football game. Avoid swearing in front of a woman you just met. “F” words are a no go area. Learn to listen without interrupting in order to engage your partner more interactively. Women like men who listen. Include some sense of humour in your discussion. When you make a woman laugh a lot, she will crave to be by your side all the time. Note that the humour should not be the dirty language used by most comedians!

Body language goes beyond the nicest clothes or the widest smile you can give. Don’t fold your arms as it is a sign of boredom or nervousness and does not reflect open body language.

Avoid any gestures that can catch a pretty lady off guard (since she’s still getting to know you). Watch out for the subtlest finger tap or tiling of the neck. Remind yourself every now and then to keep your arms unfolded. It’s about smooth and “open” body language all the time. Look the lady straight in her eyes as you speak and do not over gesture as you talk.

The outline of your body plus your clothing are also quite important as you talk to a woman you are attracted to. Women are particularly drawn to a very masculine silhouette – with a built-up chest, a lean torso, and strong shoulders. This entails wearing the right cut of a suit jacket.  Avoid extreme tapers or fits when it comes to trousers. Say NO to skinny jeans – they don’t display an attractive silhouette. Swap them for slim-fit or straight-leg types.

STYLE

Well-fitted suit jackets/blazers and nice trousers might initially impress but that is not all one has to work with. Any man can find these. It is important to stand out, so attention must be paid to smaller details like hairstyle, jewellery, perfect sunglasses for your face shape and proper shoes. So dressing well sends positive messages best describing your status, your lifestyle and personality.

How to Pull Off a Smart Casual Look

Smart casual is a balance between clean cut and casual. The phrase is very common in the modern fashion world. It’s usually thought of as something you could wear to work, but still look stylish after hours. It may sound simple, but it is definitely hard to grasp though certainly would impress on a first date without looking out of place at a mid-range restaurant. It is common to find a college teen or student putting on a mixed assortment of second hand sports jacket and a faded pair of roadside jean trousers making him look like a scarecrow! At his age and based on his income that is the best he can put together even if it doesn’t come out as a good look.

Smart casual has some basic tenets:

It is advisable not to wear a tie if you wish to pull off a smart casual outcome. A tie tends to emit formality which a smart casual is not after. However, a knitted tie can be worn with a cardigan or denim jacket but not with a formal suit jacket, to pass off as smart casual.

Smart casual is your work outfit and no one will fault you for overdressing, however, should you fall on the way side, do it on the side of smart. One rather wears a full suit, or even a tuxedo than a t-shirt and jeans in an office environment. Smart casual is a fine line to tread, but easy to manage once you know the rules.

                     Utility Shirt
Should your work rules allow a t-shirt, it is okay to adorn one (then you don’t need a smart casual guide), otherwise a t-shirt is a no go area for smart casual – it is the epitome of full casual. Don’t even think of throwing over a jacket! Instead opt for a utility shirt. A utility shirt is a shirt that really stands to attention. A khaki shirt with a little bit more. It is a work shirt style made of casual buttons up that is made from a heavier cotton material (although cotton/synthetic blends are becoming more common these days) and is specifically designed as a work wear item.

In terms of design, a characteristic utility shirt will have at least two front pockets with possibly a tab collar or tab sleeves. Some utility shirts will even have even pockets along the sleeves while other varieties will be made from material heavy enough to make them almost like jackets (i.e. shackets):

Baggy is sloppy. Go for slim fit, especially for your pants though you might end up looking like a fashion magazine model. Making a mistake with skinny is is safer than making with baggy. Baggy pants scream out that “I am still listening to Luambo Makiadi Franco”. By the way skinny is not for all ages. If over 40 please don’t attempt, you will look out of place and awkward!

The foot department needs to be pampered, but not with sneakers please. Sneakers are very good and some are really expensive upwards of $200, but for a smart casual outcome are a disaster!

Smart casual shoes

Go with some versatile dress shoes or boots. Avoid patent leather or anything that seems to formal. It’s fairly easy to tell what shoes belong with a three-piece suit, and what looks good with denim.

                                        Slacks

Denims are great for smart casual, but slacks should be your first choice. Modern jeans with holes or weirdly dyed with frayed edges are unwelcome. They should be dark, intact and of heavy raw denim. Light jeans are informal.

Go for simple but quality clothes. They last longer and a good eye will notice. It is common to rush for cheap polyester, but note that it will last only a few months. Avoid formal jackets like the tuxedo or a gold buttoned blazer.  A tweed blazer will work miracles partnered with dark denims.

Lastly your persona should exude coolness. A well trimmed beard on a well washed face oozing a light male fragrance will make a fashion statement.
